Bitcoin ETFs flip negative for 2026 after $1.28 billion outflow week, worst since June
比特币ETF在12.8亿美元流出周后2026年转为负值,为6月以来最差
BlackRock's IBIT carrying 98% of Friday's outflows shows how concentrated ETF selling pressure has become, a risk worth weighing before treating the 2026 flip as broad-based.
Judgment
ETF allocators deciding whether to cut crypto beta after the 2026 flip should treat it as a fund-concentration problem, not a category-wide verdict: IBIT supplied $403 million of Friday's gross outflows while FBTC took in $42.8 million, so a blanket exit would forfeit that dispersion.
Basis
The Block's analysis of SoSoValue data says U.S. spot bitcoin ETFs lost $1.28 billion net last week, their worst since late June and #7 since launch; that pushed 2026 to about $914.1 million in net outflows, reversing the roughly $368 million inflow entering the week. The mechanism is concentration: IBIT accounted for $403 million, about 88% of Friday's gross outflows, while BITB and ARKB each lost about $20 million, GBTC shed $11.1 million, and FBTC took in $42.8 million Friday after leading Thursday's outflows with $199.9 million. Total bitcoin held across the 12 funds fell 2.3% to $95.9 billion. Ether ETFs lost $365.3 million, a sixth straight negative week, with ETHA at $90.8 million of Friday's total, about 96% of gross losses; Solana and Hyperliquid ETFs each had a fifth straight outflow week, at $26.3 million and $15.6 million respectively.
- Bitcoin ETFs-$1.28 billion
- Ether ETFs-$365.3 million
- Solana ETFs-$26.3 million
- Hyperliquid ETFs-$15.6 million
Unclear The source does not give a fund-level 2026 year-to-date net flow for IBIT, so it cannot show whether IBIT alone caused the category's negative 2026 turn.
Next Next, check the following week's SoSoValue fund-level flows to see whether IBIT redemptions persist and whether FBTC's $42.8 million Friday inflow extends beyond one day.
